Veritas foods is seeking a passionate and dedicated Kitchen Assistant/Piping Assistant to join our team in Homebush, NSW. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our talented chefs in delivering exceptional ready meal to families across australia.
What you'll be doing
- Assist our chefs with food preparation and plating meals .
- Prep/ cook kids meals/ baked goods and pipe puree into trays.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, ensuring all work surfaces, equipment and utensils are kept spotless
- Accurately follow recipes and preparation instructions provided by the chefs
- Stock and restock kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed
- Comply with all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Provide exceptional customer service to our diners when interacting with them in the kitchen
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand or Preparation Cook in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A keen interest in food and cooking,
with a passion for providing high-quality food
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards and Haccp procedures.
