About the role

Workzone Pty Ltd offers permanent, full-time Vegetation Field Worker positions in Newcastle and the Hunter region. This role focuses on mechanical slashing, herbicide application, mowing and around rail stations.

Key responsibilities

- Mechanical Slashing: Operating heavy-duty brush cutters, commercial mowers, and slashing equipment.

- Herbicide Application: Handling, mixing, and spraying chemicals safely along fence lines and rail borders to halt invasive weed growth.

- Debris Removal: Clearing fallen branches, green waste, and obstacles from station precincts and track perimeters.

About you

- White Card (General Construction Induction): Mandatory for entering any active asset or infrastructure maintenance site.

- ChemCert (AQF3 Chemical Accreditation): Required by law to handle and apply commercial-grade weed sprays and herbicides safely.



Workzone can provide training.

- Manual Driver's Licence: Essential to legally drive the supplied company utility vehicle across different sites.

- TLIF0020 (Safely Work in the Rail Corridor) – Workzone can provide training.
