Boat Hire Crew — Casual, Sydney Harbour (training provided)

Boatique Sydney Boat Hire runs self-drive boat hire from two of the best spots on Sydney Harbour — The Spit at Mosman and Double Bay. Most of our customers have never driven a boat. Sending them out safe and getting them back smiling is the whole job.

We're hiring casual crew members for the summer season (October–March). First roles start in September, with more starting through October and November — tell us when you're available and we'll slot you in. And for the right people, this isn't only seasonal — a couple of our crew work year-round. Full training provided by our senior skipper. Weekend availability is essential.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare boats each shift: fuel, safety checks, cleaning, paperwork
- Meet customers at the wharf, run safety briefings, teach first-timers the basics at the helm
- Drive and position boats between moorings and the wharf
- Monitor boats on the water via GPS, assist returning customers with docking
- End-of-day shutdown: refuel, moor, log, report issues

About you

- NSW recreational boat licence (or willing to get one — it takes a day,



and we'll help you organise it)
- Genuinely comfortable handling small powerboats
- Calm and transparent with nervous first-timers — you explain things in plain words and stay patient at the helm
- Reliable on weekends October through March
- Right to work in Australia
- A confident swimmer, comfortable in and on the water — most mornings start with a paddle or row out to the boats.

Nice-to-haves

- Sailing/dinghy instructing, marina, or boating experience
- First aid certificate
- Live within easy reach of Mosman or Double Bay
