Yulong Stud’s newly acquired property in NSW, Segenhoe, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Gardener to join our team. Located in the picturesque Hunter Valley region, this role offers the chance to work in a unique industry environment.

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who enjoy working as part of a team, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and bring relevant experience to the role. The successful candidate will have a background in either gardening or general farm/property maintenance, with the ability to operate independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

- General Lawn care, which includes edging, mowing, fertilisation, snipping and re-seeding and overseeding.
- Pruning, trimming and hedging, including hedging to desired shapes.
- Hand weeding and mulching as required.
- Carrying out manual watering including the maintenance and operation of fixed watering systems.
- Treatment of plant pests, diseases and weed spraying as required.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all external areas including paths and hard surfaces.
- Ensuring grounds, you are responsible for, and surrounds are kept clean and tidy.
- Landscape and establish new areas and gardens as required.
- Ensuring the maintenance of all gardening equipment and machinery you use.
- Comply with all workplace health and safety and equal employment opportunity initiatives to contribute to a safe, healthy, equitable and ethical workplace.
- Work in accordance with management directions.

What We’re Looking For:

- Previous experience in gardening,



groundskeeping or property maintenance.
- Knowledge of plant and lawn care, and the relevant seasonal maintenance.
- Understanding irrigation system highly regarded.
- Current chemical application certificate highly regarded.
- Ability to operate relevant gardening equipment safely.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and demonstrate sound problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and time management.
- Self-Motivated, reliable, and professional in manner.
- Solid focus on presentation and property standards.
- High attention to detail and a high level of awareness working around horses.
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Full driver’s licence and working rights in Australia.
