Please note that this advertisement refers to a position based at Bayside Health Regional Care Group – Bass Coast, including Wonthaggi Hospital, Leongatha Hospital, Korumburra Hospital, KooWeeRup Hospital and San Remo Community Centre within the Bayside Health Regional Care Group (RCG) Graduate Nurse/Midwife Program.
About the roles – Graduate Nurse/Midwife Program, 1 year, 64 hours Per Fortnight:
We are seeking enthusiastic and eligible Registered Graduate Nurse/Midwives to participate in our 2026 Graduate Program.
- Part-time 0.8 EFT (64 hours per fortnight) across a rotating roster
- Pay rate as per the Nursing and Midwives Enterprise Agreement 2024 – 2028
- Structured Program
- Supernumerary days at the commencement of rotations
- Dedicated Graduate Coordinators
- Graduate study days
- Online learning
- Structed reflective practice
- Structured monthly education sessions
- Chance at completion of graduate program to apply for available positions within Bayside Health, including Pathway to Practice with ongoing support.

- Provide graduates with the clinical practice to develop and refine knowledge and skills
- Provide a supportive environment to accommodate learning opportunities
- Further develop critical thinking skills
- Refine time management and organisational strategies
- Expand on communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Encourage ongoing personal and professional development
Requirements of the position:
- Applicants must have completed their Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery qualification in 2025 and must not have secured a Graduate Nurse Midwifery position for the 2026 graduate year.
This opportunity is specifically for 2025 graduates who are seeking to commence their graduate year in 2026
- Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
- Ability to fulfil rotating roster requirements. Working across all shifts Monday to Sunday,
including weekends and public holidays
- Evidence of immunisations
- Valid Police Check
- Valid Working with Children check
- NDIS screening check (area specific)
- Evidence of a valid Visa allowing full working rights with no restrictions (if not an Australian citizen or permanent resident)
