- Location: Parramatta or negotiable across NSW, hybrid working supported
- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $116,981 to $129,492 + super

We’re looking for a Grant Program Officer to join our Best Practice & Standards team and help support consistent and effective grants administration across DCCEEW.

This role focuses on providing practical support, resources and advice to help teams administer grants in line with departmental requirements and the NSW Government Grants Administration Guide. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across the department to support good practice, assist with compliance activities and contribute to improvements that make grants processes clearer and easier to use.

In this role, you’ll:

- prepare and maintain practical guidance materials, templates and resources
- support teams to understand grants administration processes and requirements
- respond to general enquiries and help resolve routine issues
- assist with governance, reporting, record keeping and compliance tasks
- help review grant documentation and identify simple process improvements
- coordinate meetings, actions, information requests and team activities
- contribute to projects that support clearer and more consistent grants administration
- work collaboratively with colleagues across the department to support good practice

adaptable and comfortable managing competing priorities while delivering accurate and timely work.

About You

You are collaborative, practical and solutions-focused. You enjoy helping people understand requirements and turning information into explicit, useful guidance that supports good grants administration.

You have good judgement, attention to detail and a willingness to ask questions, seek advice and escalate issues when needed. You understand the importance of grants governance, compliance and record keeping, and you are interested in how good processes support sound decisions, program delivery and outcomes for communities.

You work well with others, communicate clearly and build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. You are organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities while delivering accurate and timely work.

Ideally, you’ll bring some experience in grants administration, governance, policy, compliance, assurance, program delivery or a related area. You may also have experience preparing documents, coordinating information, supporting reporting activities or helping teams follow established processes.
