GREENKEEPER / GROUNDS-PERSON

Humpty Doo Golf Club is seeking a suitably experienced full-time or Casual Greenkeeper / Grounds-person with a positive attitude, a passion for working outdoors and is looking to continue or start their career in the golf course industry.

The Role The Club is currently seeking a suitable candidate to assist with the daily maintenance of the golf course. Reporting directly to the Head Greenskeeper, your duties will include but not limited to:

● Setting up the course for daily play

● Mowing and machinery operation

● Bunker Maintenance

● Chemical/Fertiliser Application

● Tree Maintenance

● Turf Maintenance The role is a casual position with up to 38 hours per week. The successful candidate will also be part of a rotating weekend roster to prepare the course for member play.

About you, To be successful a candidate should demonstrate:





● Be self-motivated/ have a can do attitude with excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve course maintenance issues.

● Robust communication and teamwork skills, Willingness to learn and follow instructions

● Happy to work outdoors and start early in the morning

● Proficiency in operating and maintaining turf equipment (advantageous not essential)

● Previous experience as a Greenkeeper/Groundsperson or in a similar role is preferred or an interest in golf (advantageous not essential)

● Certificate in Sports Turf Management or Horticulture (advantageous not essential)

● Current AQF3 Chemcert certificate or similar (advantageous).

● Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
