Restoration Technician – Mildura
Full-Time | Permanent | Training & Career Progression
Turn Your Hands-On Experience Into a Career
If you have experience in restoration, building, property maintenance or commercial cleaning and want a role with great variety, specialist training and genuine career progression, we'd love to hear from you.
Steamatic is looking for a full-time Restoration Technician to join our Mildura team.
Previous restoration experience would be fantastic - but it's not essential.
If you're practical, reliable, good with customers and keen to learn, we can teach you the restoration side of the role.
What's In It For You?
- Full-time permanent position
- Paid overtime and applicable allowances
- Specialist restoration training
- Opportunity to gain industry-recognised IICRC qualifications
- Clear career progression
- Support from an experienced team
- Varied, hands‑on work across different sites
- Join an established and growing national restoration business
What Does a Restoration Technician Do?
When homes and businesses are affected by water, fire, mould or other property damage, Steamatic helps get them back to normal.
You'll work across different sites carrying out restoration, remediation and specialist cleaning work.
No two days are exactly the same.
Your work can include:
- Water damage mitigation and structural drying
- Fire and smoke damage restoration
- Mould remediation
- Carpet and specialist cleaning
- Cleaning and restoring contents
- Setting up and monitoring restoration equipment
- Assisting with property strip-outs where required
- Taking job photos and completing job documentation
- Working safely across residential and commercial sites
- Providing professional customer service
What We're Looking For
Restoration experience is our first preference, particularly experience with water, fire, mould or remediation.
However, we're also keen to hear from people with experience in:
- Building or construction
- Insurance repairs
- Property or facilities maintenance
- Commercial or industrial cleaning
- Carpet cleaning
- Other practical, hands‑on field roles
You don't need to tick every box.
What matters is that you're practical, reliable, comfortable working with your hands and take pride in doing a good job.
You'll also need:
- Current driver's licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Valuable physical fitness
- A practical, problem-solving approach
- Strong safety awareness
- Confidence using basic technology and mobile applications
- Willingness to learn and develop
IICRC qualifications and previous restoration experience are highly regarded, but not essential for the right person.
Build Your Skills. Build Your Career.
Restoration is a specialist industry with plenty of opportunity to develop.
Steamatic has a structured technician development pathway where you can build skills across water damage restoration, structural drying, fire and smoke restoration, mould remediation, specialist cleaning and eventually crew leadership.
Whether you're already working in restoration or looking to turn your building or cleaning experience into something more specialised, this is an opportunity to build a genuine long‑term career.
Applicants must have unrestricted Australian working rights and be willing to complete relevant pre‑employment checks.
