We’re looking for a passionate and customer-focused Optical Dispenser to join our friendly team at Specsavers East Maitland.

About the role

As an Optical Dispenser, you’ll play an important role in delivering an exceptional customer experience from the eye examination through to dispensing and collection. You’ll work closely with our Optometrists and wider team to provide professional advice and high-quality dispensing.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Dispensing spectacles and providing accurate frame and lens recommendations
- Taking accurate measurements and completing quality checks and adjustments
- Supporting customers with complex prescriptions and contact lenses
- Delivering excellent customer service and aftercare
- Managing customer queries and complaints professionally
- Supporting contact lens and audiology services
- Working collaboratively with the team and contributing to store targets




- Supporting and coaching other team members where appropriate

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

- Holds a Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing
- Has a genuine passion for customer service and helping people
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skillsIs confident working in a busy retail environment
- Works well as part of a team
- Is reliable, skilled and takes initiative
- Has good computer and system skills
- Is flexible to work retail hours, including weekends and late nights when required
