About the Role
A leading travel company is seeking an experienced sales leader to drive its sales organisation across Australia and New Zealand. You will develop and implement sales & distribution strategies across the Pacific to achieve revenue targets, growth objectives and profitability. You'll build and lead a high‑performing sales team, identify new business opportunities, and maintain key client relationships across corporate and travel agent channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop short and mid‑term sales strategies and annual plans to achieve growth, revenue and market share targets
- Analyse market trends and customer needs to drive innovation and ensure the correct sales mix
- Build and lead a high‑performing sales team with coaching, mentoring and succession planning
- Establish and maintain relationships with key clients and partners, negotiating contracts and long‑term commercial deals
- Provide sales forecasts and performance analysis monthly, quarterly and annually
- Drive digital transformation and sales automation initiatives
- Foster relationships within the travel industry through active participation in industry events
Key Skills Required
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience in data analysis and reporting
- Ability to engage and energise teams
- Proven ability to set long‑term goals and define market plans
- Confidence and influence over stakeholders with solid negotiation skills
Experience Required
- 10 years in sales leadership across multiple geographic locations, with at least 4 years in Business Development/Account Management
- Experience in both B2B and B2C sales
- Ability to manage complex corporate customers
- Strong commercial acumen with financial forecasting and budgeting experience
