Growth Marketer – Advisors / Bookkeepers Growth Marketing owns how pay.com.au wins and activates customers. It's a small, senior crew running paid, lifecycle, partnerships and web across every segment — from sole traders to accounting firms managing hundreds of clients. The way we work is simple: test fast, read the numbers, double down on what's working and kill what isn't. Everyone here owns a channel and a number,
with real freedom in how they hit it.
This role owns the channel mechanics for the Advisor vertical end-to-end — in the ad accounts and referral tooling daily, accountable to a number rather than a brief. Channel strategy is shaped with the Growth Lead; segment & positioning draws on the vertical's strategy.
Responsibilities
- Partnerships & referrals (core channel). Develops partner relationships across associations, accounting bodies, software-ecosystem partners and supplier networks, and runs the referral and affiliate mechanics, co-marketing execution and activations that turn those relationships into referred signups.
- Paid media. Builds, launches and optimises paid search and paid social to a bookkeeper / advisor audience. Owns spend efficiency against the program's CAC.
- Owned & lifecycle. SEO, AI visibility and content distribution against advisor intent, plus email nurture and activation journeys for the advisor segment (with CRM) and landing pages (with CRO & Digital).
- Events, webinars & community. Runs the conference, association-event and partner-co-hosted webinar activity that drives outsized reach in the accounting space - typically alongside Advisor Sales.
- Measurement & experimentation.
Owns campaign tracking, referred-vs-direct attribution, and the test loop; feeds learnings back into the vertical plan and the growth forecast.
About You
- Hands-on operator, not an agency manager — builds, launches and optimises campaigns across paid (Google, Meta, LinkedIn), SEO/owned and lifecycle, including email nurture sequences in a marketing-automation platform.
- Partnerships & referral experience — has run affiliate, referral or co-marketing programs, including negotiation, and knows how partner-led growth works operationally. Conference, association-event or partner-co-hosted webinar experience in a B2B or professional-services setting is a strong plus.
- Owns the full funnel and its numbers cold — CPA, CAC, conversion rate, referral attribution — and optimises against a target, not a brief. Fluent in attribution and A/B testing, with pulling and presenting performance data (Amplitude, GA4 or similar) second nature.
- Bias to ship, with structure — moves rapid, iterates and gets campaigns live without losing rigour; breaks down ambiguous problems and stays curious about why users and experiments behave the way they do.
- Clear, proactive communicator, detailed planner and AI-fluent in ways of working — collaborative in a matrixed setup across Marketing, Advisor Sales and Product.
- Feel for brand and copy — tests messaging, segmentation and creative angles within brand guidelines rather than around them, and can write and tighten on-brand page copy without a copywriter.
- 2–4 years in digital or acquisition marketing; B2B background required (SaaS, fintech, payments or accounting preferred); comfort in Figma a plus.
We know not everyone will meet every requirement, and that's okay. If you’re excited about the role and believe you can make an impact, we’re keen to hear from you. A few more things... Successful candidates joining the team will need to complete a National Police Record Check. Candidates who require adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process are encouraged to let us know. We’re happy to support you.
We’re committed to an inclusive and diverse recruitment process where everyone feels respected and supported. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, identities and abilities and ensure fair, equitable consideration at every stage.
