Handyman / Maintenance Manager

We are partnering with a highly regarded aged care provider located in Pasadena. With a strong focus on resident wellbeing, dignity and quality of care, they are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Officer to join their supportive team on a permanent basis.

Your new role:

An opportunity has become available for an experienced and reliable Maintenance Officer to support the day-to-day upkeep of a small aged care community. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for general maintenance and repairs, ensuring resident rooms, communal areas and outdoor spaces are protected, functional and well-presented.

You will work closely with residents, staff and contractors while assisting with preventative maintenance, responding to maintenance requests, and helping to maintain a comfortable living setting for all residents. Joining a small and supportive team,

What you'll need to succeed:

- Previous experience in a maintenance, handyman, facilities or property maintenance role
- Strong practical skills across general repairs and maintenance tasks
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A proactive, can-do attitude and solid work ethic
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Experience within aged care, retirement living, healthcare or hospitality environments highly regarded
