About The Role

Aviall Group is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Head of Cargo to lead the continued growth of our cargo charter division.

Based in Melbourne, this senior appointment will take responsibility for Aviall's cargo charter commercial strategy, key accounts, business development and sales performance across Australia, the Asia-Pacific and international markets.

The Head of Cargo will work directly with the CEO and play a key role in the continued expansion of Aviall's international cargo charter business.

Key Responsibilities

- Leading Aviall's cargo charter sales strategy and commercial performance
- Developing and managing a strong pipeline of domestic and international charter opportunities
- Originating, quoting, negotiating and closing high-value cargo charter opportunities
- Overseeing execution of charter missions
- Developing recurring and contracted cargo opportunities alongside Aviall's ad-hoc charter business
- Supporting the continued development and expansion of the cargo division





Essential Requirements We are looking for a highly commercial aviation or logistics professional with the confidence and experience to take ownership of a growing international cargo portfolio. Experience within one or more of the following areas would be highly regarded:

- Air cargo
- Cargo aircraft charter
- Freight forwarding
- Airline cargo sales
- Project logistics
- Aviation brokerage
- Time-critical logistics
- Mining and resources logistics
- Government or defence logistics

Established industry relationships across freight forwarding, logistics, aviation or major cargo customers will be highly regarded. The successful candidate will be comfortable developing senior commercial relationships, identifying new opportunities, negotiating high-value transactions and operating in a fast-moving international workplace.
