R U OK?
City of Sydney
Social-first. Content-smart. Community-minded. Purpose-led.
R U OK? is looking for a rare digital all-rounder.
Someone who can spot a content opportunity, write a excellent caption, brief a designer, update a webpage, moderate a sensitive comment thread, read the numbers, and know what to do next.
If you’re a creative digital thinker who loves making content that people actually engage with, and you want your work to mean something, this could be your kind of role.
About the role
R U OK? is one of Australia’s most recognised social impact brands. Our digital channels play a huge role in helping people understand when, why and how to ask, ‘are you OK?’.
As Digital Engagement Manager, you’ll help shape how R U OK? shows up online, across social media, website, email and owned digital channels.
You’ll create content, manage communities, optimise digital platforms, and use insights to help more Australians connect with our message, resources, and campaigns.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can balance creativity with care, speed with judgement, and audience growth with psychological safety.
Applications close: Monday 28 September, 5pm AEST
Salary packaging available.
Right to work in Australia and completion of a National Police Check and Working with Children Check required.
R U OK? is committed to fostering a culturally safe and accessible workplace where trust, respect, and the promotion of diversity and inclusion are valued. We welcome applications from candidates from all backgrounds and those with lived experience.

About R U OK?
R U OK? is a charity dedicated to creating a world where we are all connected and protected from suicide. We are a national suicide prevention charity and registered public health promotion that encourages people to stay connected and have conversations that can help others through difficult times. Since 2009, Australians have embraced the simplicity of the R U OK? message, making it their own.
Our work focuses on building the motivation, confidence, and skills of the help-giver – the person who can have a meaningful conversation with someone who is struggling with life.
R U OK? contributes to suicide prevention efforts by encouraging people to invest more time in their personal relationships and building the capacity of informal support networks - friends, family, and colleagues - to be alert to those around them, have a conversation if they identify signs of distress or difficulty, and connect someone to appropriate support, long before they're in crisis.
