Ivanhoe Periodontics & Implant Centre is a well-established and growing Specialist Practice located in Heidelberg Victoria.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly and self-motivated Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our team.

Our team consists of three Periodontists, supported by our friendly dental assistants and reception staff and practice manager.

We are looking for an all-rounder who is confident working across both dental assisting and reception and is committed to providing exceptional patient care.

Your role will include common dental assisting and reception tasks, including:

- Assisting with periodontal procedures, including implant surgery and periodontal surgery
- Preparation of treatment rooms
- Maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records
- Sterilisation and preparation of instruments according to infection control guidelines
- Providing exceptional patient care
- Answering phones and assisting with patient enquiries
- Managing appointments and the practice schedule
- Processing patient accounts and payments including HICAPS




- Assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
- Other reception and admin duties

About you

We are looking for someone who:

- Has a minimum Certificate III in Dental Assisting
- Has experience in both dental assisting and reception
- Is confident answering phones and managing appointments
- Has experience with patient accounts and HICAPS
- Is organised, reliable and self-motivated
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is friendly, qualified and well-presented
- Is a flexible all-rounder who enjoys working as part of a team
- Takes pride in providing a high standard of patient care

The position is 28.5 hours per week across 3 days: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

No weekend work and no late nights.

Remuneration will be based on qualifications and experience.

Please note: This position is not suitable for ADC candidates.
