As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and installation of industrial compressed air equipment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working independently, solving technical problems and dealing directly with customers.
Key responsibilities
- Service, maintain, repair and inspect compressors and related compressed air equipment
- Attend customer sites to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Conduct functionality and operational testing
- Install compressors, refrigerated dryers and associated equipment
- Install and modify compressed air pipework
- Complete mechanical fitting and assembly work
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Complete service documentation and reports accurately
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment condition and required works
About you
- Mechanical, fitting, plumbing, electrical or related trade experience
- A recognized trade qualification or robust hands-on mechanical experience
- Experience with compressors,
compressed air equipment or industrial machinery is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Good understanding of preventative maintenance
- Ability to read and understand technical information
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to travel to customer sites on a daily basis
