The Quality Control Manager is responsible for safeguarding the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of Blue Lotus College's academic and operational documentation. This role leads the validation of assessment tools, training and assessment strategies, and student records, ensuring all outputs meet internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements (including RTO standards 2025, the NVR Act, the ESOS Act, National Code and other applicable legislative obligations). The role acts as the College's internal checkpoint for quality assurance before policy, materials, reports, and processes are finalised or submitted.

Key responsibilities

Lead and coordinate scheduled validation of assessment tools, marking guides, and assessment judgements in line with the College's validation schedule and regulatory requirements.

Facilitate validation panels/meetings with trainers, assessors, and subject matter experts, and record outcomes and required amendments.

Verify that validation findings are actioned, tracked to completion, and evidenced appropriately.

Maintain a validation register and ensure validation cycles meet mandated time frames.

Review training and assessment strategies (TAS), learner materials, Learning management System (Moodle), policies, procedures, and forms for accuracy, currency, and compliance prior to approval or distribution.

Identify, engage, and coordinate industry consultants/representatives relevant to each training product

Check documentation for version control, consistent formatting, correct referencing of standards/units of competency, and alignment with college templates.

Conduct internal audits/spot-checks of student files, assessment evidence, and administrative records to confirm compliance readiness.





Contribute to the College's continuous improvement register by logging issues identified through validation, document review, and audit activity.

Act as Secretary of the Academic Board, coordinating meeting schedules, agendas, and papers in consultation with the Chair.

Prepare regular quality and compliance status reports for the CEO/senior management.

About you

Demonstrated experience in a quality assurance, compliance, or validation role, ideally within the education/training sector (essential).

Strong working knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for RTOs (essential).

High attention to detail with strong document review and editing skills (essential).

Sound understanding of validation processes for assessment tools and judgements (essential).

Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and exercise sound judgement (essential).

Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with trainers, assessors, and administrative teams (essential).

Demonstrated ability to coordinate and engage external industry stakeholders/consultants for consultation purposes (essential).

Experience preparing agendas, minutes, and papers for formal governance or committee meetings (essential).

Formal qualification in quality assurance, education, or a related field (e.g., Diploma or higher) (desirable).
