Security Supervisor - The Star Sydney at The Star Entertainment Group

The Star Sydney is a leading entertainment hub located in Pyrmont and Darling Harbour. In our venue we strive to create memorable experiences for guests while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the security team, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to organisational policies and procedures.
- Exhibit high visibility, hands‑on leadership, proactively engaging with team members, driving improvements and implementing innovative solutions to achieve organisational success.
- Foster a culture of excellence by providing ongoing training, mentorship and professional development opportunities for your team.
- Respond to and manage security incidents with professionalism, composure and sound judgement, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
- Monitor and investigate all incidents and compile written reports and operational logs.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the security industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of security best practices, risk assessment methodologies and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities, with the talent for remaining calm under pressure.
- Advanced experience in conflict resolution and incident management.
- Must hold a NSW Security Licence Class 1A.
- Must hold First Aid certificate,



RSA and RCG or willingness to obtain.
