McIntosh & Son, Wongan Hills, are seeking an experienced Parts Interpreter to join our team in a full-time position.

Reporting to the Parts Manager, this role will suit a motivated and customer-focused Parts Interpreter with strong parts knowledge, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a busy dealership environment.

Key responsibilities

- Establish, develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal staff.
- Identify and understand customer parts requirements and provide suitable solutions.
- Provide accurate parts information, advice and support to customers.
- Prepare parts quotations, process orders and contribute to achieving sales targets.
- Identify opportunities to grow parts sales and develop new and existing customer relationships.
- Assist with parts merchandising and maintaining attractive, well-organised displays.
- Participate in stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Assist with the timely resolution of customer queries, problems and complaints.
- Work as part of the wider dealership team to support efficient parts and service operations.
- Participate in seasonal Saturday and on-call rosters as required.

About you

- Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter, preferably within the agricultural, automotive, earthmoving, heavy equipment or related industry
- Ability to work seasonal Saturdays and outside normal hours during peak seasons
- A supportive team player with a can-do attitude
- Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technology
- Proven ability to build professional relationships with clients and seek new parts sales opportunities
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to multitask and prioritise
- Ability to interpret a technical diagram
