The Role

This is a site-based project engineering role responsible for the delivery of civil earthworks and concrete projects across coal mining sites within the Bowen Basin. You'll run the technical delivery of the job, working with project managers, supervisors, and operators to deliver successful project outcomes.

Day to day, you'll be responsible for:

- Planning the works and preparing work packs, permits and lot documentation for the crews




- Managing quality records — ITPs, conformances, as-builts and handover documentation
- Working with survey and design surfaces, including loading and checking models for our Trimble Earthworks fleet
- Tracking quantities, progress and dockets against the program and budget
- Working closely with the client's site team every day — inspections, approvals, reporting and daily coordination sit with you

Requirements

- A civil engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) with solid site experience delivering civil or earthworks projects for a contractor
- Experience on BMA or similar tier one mining sites highly preferred, including mine-spec quality and permit systems
- Solid communication and client-facing skills are essential — you'll be the face of Create to the client's site team every day, and need to be comfortable dealing with crews, supervisors, project managers, and site stakeholders
- Able to work autonomously, taking initiative and making daily decisions to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
- Solid computer skills — comfortable with quality systems, spreadsheets and drawing packages; CAD or Trimble Business Center experience is a bonus
- Current QLD Coal Board Medical, Standard 11 and BMA inductions highly preferred — or willing to obtain (we can arrange)
- Australian Driver's Licence
- We run lean site teams where everyone pitches in — if something needs doing, you jump in and do it
- Strong work ethic, take pride in your work, and a can‑do attitude are a must
