EQoL Network Engineer

Contract position , 10 month period in the Defence sector. The role is based in Canberra, ACT .

Base pay range

A$110.00/hr - A$135.00/hr

Responsibilities

- Support the rollout of the EQoL system across 52 vessels in the Navy.
- Refine cross‑class designs to meet platform specific constraints; STW the EQoL system including configuring and installing network devices.

Minimum mandatory requirements

- AGSVA Security clearance.
- Defence experience.
- Ability to obtain construction white card.
- In‑depth understanding and experience of switching mechanisms, routing protocols, transmission protocols, routing, and troubleshooting of networks.
- Good understanding of virtualisation, SDN, Linux OS and desirable exposure to open‑source technologies.
- Basic understanding of Layer‑3 packet encryption, load balancing, network aggregation and network security.
- Ability to undertake and document network designs,



lead project design reviews, engineering assessments and investigations of complex networks.
- Degree in ICT Networking or Communications Engineering.
- Cisco Certified Networking Qualified (CCNP) Enterprise.
- Fortigate (Fortinet Certified Associate) or better.
- Formal Cybersecurity training.
