Operational HR Business Partner role with site-based travel required for a growth organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional looking to deepen their operational experience and continue building their career in business partnering. Working across a diverse operational environment, you will collaborate closely with leaders and employees, providing practical, commercially focused support across the full employee life cycle.
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you will be a visible and trusted member of the business, spending your time building strong relationships, understanding operational challenges and delivering practical people solutions that support both employees and organisational objectives.
Regular travel to operational sites will form part of the role, allowing you to develop a robust understanding of the workforce and business priorities.
Key responsibilities will include
- Partnering with leaders to provide practical, solutions-focused HR advice and support.
- Building trusted relationships across operational and corporate teams.
- Supporting employee and industrial relations matters, including investigations, performance management, disciplinary processes, grievances and conflict resolution.
- Providing advice on employment legislation, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and workplace policies.
- Assisting with the interpretation and application of industrial instruments across a diverse workforce.
- Coaching and supporting leaders to strengthen people leadership capability.
- Contributing to leadership development, employee engagement and culture initiatives.
- Supporting the delivery of HR programs, projects and continuous improvement activities.
- Assisting with workforce planning, talent management and organisational development initiatives.
- Promoting a positive, safe and inclusive workplace culture.
To be successful, you will be a proactive and approachable HR professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams and being actively involved in the business. You will build credibility through strong relationships, practical advice and a genuine understanding of workplace challenges. Prior experience across both blue and white-collar environments is essential, and you will bring experience in generalist HR, including employee and industrial relations, case management and workplace investigations.
A comprehensive understanding of the Fair Work Act and NES for Australia is essential.
