THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Advisor for a major mechanical shutdown based in the Rockingham/Kwinana area.

Duties and responsibilities are as follows:

- Carrying out various site inspections, identifying hazards and reducing risk(s)
- Plan and manage pre-start / toolbox meetings
- Promote a solid health and safety culture within the site work group
- Assist with investigations of incidents and near misses including reviewing and amending risk assessments
- Provide leadership and support to supervision to assist with workplace inspections and audits
- Liaising with management on all site HSE related matters to suggest potential improvements and/or further development
- Compiling and presenting reports, statistics and regular bulletins/newsletters

REQUIREMENTS:

- Previous demonstrated experienced in a site based HSE role
- Previous experience in an SMP maintenance environment
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current WA drivers licence
- Relevant experience in relation to carrying out investigations and audits
- Sound relationship building skills
