About the role
Pure HVAC & Electrical Pty Ltd is a fast-growing mechanical services company based in South West Sydney, delivering commercial HVAC projects across the Sydney region. We're looking for a qualified HVAC Tradesperson to join our team, working directly alongside our Lead Tradesperson and Director on live commercial construction sites — with genuine opportunities to grow into a senior or leading hand role as we continue to expand.
The work is approximately 90% construction and 10% service, with the majority on commercial building sites. This is a full time, permanent position offering a competitive hourly rate and real career progression as the company grows.
What you'll be doing
- This is a commercial new-construction install role only — no residential or breakdown/service work.
- Act as Lead Tradesperson on site, running the day-to-day install and taking ownership of the project from start to finish.
- Install HVAC equipment, including VRF systems, split systems, ducted systems and commercial plant
- Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and energy efficiency
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues and implement effective solutions during commissioning.
- Liaise directly with clients and site teams — strong communication is a must
- Coordinate subcontractors onsite as required
- Ensure all work meets the highest safety and quality standards
What we're looking for
- Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent trade qualification)
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an HVAC Tradesperson, ideally in a commercial or industrial setting
- Experience installing VRF systems & welding a must.
- Working knowledge of commissioning and air balancing (in-house training available)
- Arctick licence, White Card and EWP licence
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites across Sydney
- Mechanical/electrical (Mech Elect) experience is a bonus, not essential
- Full working rights in Australia — please note we are not offering visa sponsorship for this role at this time
