This opportunity is with a specialist Defence consultancy supporting a highly secure Defence-aligned environment. The engagement is focused on the delivery of ICT project management and assurance services within a geospatial intelligence context, supporting classified Defence capability outcomes.
Your new role
You will be engaged as an ICT Project Manager supporting geospatial intelligence technology initiatives. The role will focus on project management, assurance, stakeholder coordination, reporting and delivery oversight across a secure ICT environment. The position is assessed against ICT Project Management capability at SFIA PRMG5 level, and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to structured delivery, governance and assurance activities.
Key responsibilities will include
- Providing ICT project management and assurance support across GEOINT-related technology workstreams.
- Supporting delivery governance, project status tracking, risk management and monthly reporting. Preparing or contributing to contract/project status reports for Commonwealth acceptance.
- Working closely with Defence and consultancy stakeholders in a secure, classified workplace. Supporting planning, coordination and delivery confidence across geospatial intelligence technology services.
What you'll need to succeed To be suitable, you will need:
- Current Positive Vetting security clearance.
This is a condition of participation for nominated ICT personnel.
- Australian citizenship, as all subcontractor personnel must be Australian citizens. Experience as an ICT Project Manager, ideally within Defence, National Security, Intelligence or similarly secure Federal Government environments.
- Demonstrated experience in project governance, assurance, reporting, stakeholder engagement and delivery management.
- Exposure to geospatial intelligence, GEOINT systems, spatial technologies, imagery, ISR, intelligence systems or Defence ICT environments would be highly regarded.
- Ability to operate in environments classified up to and including Top Secret.
- Willingness to undergo a Defence Intelligence Suitability Assessment, with Key Person status conditional on retaining PV and receiving an approved DISA.

You will be offered a long-term contract opportunity through a Defence consultancy, supporting high-priority Defence capability in a secure geospatial intelligence environment. The initial term is expected to run for 12 months, with an indicative end date of 19 October 2027, and there are two extension options of up to 12 months each at the Commonwealth's discretion.
