Johnson Cabinets Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC & Edge Bander Operator to join our cabinet making team. This is a full-time position based in Arundel, QLD 4214. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our CNC machinery and edge banding equipment to produce high-quality cabinet components. You will play a crucial part in our manufacturing process, ensuring precision, efficiency, and consistency in all production outputs. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern machinery whilst contributing to the creation of bespoke cabinetry solutions for our valued clients.

Key responsibilities

- Operate CNC cutting machines to produce cabinet components according to specifications and design drawings
- Set up and configure CNC machinery, ensuring all tools, fixtures and settings are correctly calibrated before production runs
- Operate edge banding equipment to apply edging materials to cabinet panels with precision and consistency
- Monitor production quality throughout the machining and edge banding processes, identifying and rectifying any defects or inconsistencies
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently, maintaining a well-organised work area
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, including quantities produced and any technical issues encountered
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and quality standards
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols and workplace policies

What we're looking for

- Proven experience operating CNC machinery within a cabinet making or manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with edge banding equipment and finishing processes
- Strong understanding of cabinet making principles, materials and production techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings,



CAD files and production specifications accurately
- Proficiency in setting up machinery, configuring tools and troubleshooting common operational issues
- Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality production standards
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet production deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Current knowledge of workplace health and safety practices relevant to machinery operation
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to new processes or machinery upgrades
- A valid driver's licence would be advantageous
