Federal Hospitality Equipment is a market leader in the sale and distribution of commercial hospitality equipment. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and reliable Field Service Refrigeration Technician to join our Brisbane-based service team.

This is a varied role involving servicing and repairs at customer sites, with workshop-based duties required when needed.

About the Role

You will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing and modifying a broad range of commercial refrigeration and hospitality equipment, including:

- Commercial refrigerators
- Commercial freezers
- Cake and food display units
- Bain-maries
- Coolrooms
- Other commercial foodservice equipment

The role will primarily involve travelling to customer sites throughout Brisbane and surrounding areas. You will also complete repairs, testing, equipment preparation and other service work in our workshop as required.

Key responsibilities include:

- Attending customer sites to diagnose and repair equipment
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Identifying faults and recommending suitable repair solutions
- Replacing components and completing equipment modifications




- Testing equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Accurately recording completed work, parts used and service findings
- Providing professional and courteous service to customers
- Assisting with workshop repairs and equipment preparation when required

What You Will Need

To be successful in this position, you will have:

- Previous experience as a Refrigeration Technician
- A current Refrigerant Handling Licence
- A current Australian driver’s licence
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working with commercial refrigeration equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A professional and customer-focused approach
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- A reliable, organised and solutions-focused attitude
- A willingness to learn and develop your technical knowledge

A current electrical licence will be highly regarded.
