The Role
Somerville House Junior School is seeking an innovative and dedicated permanent full-time Junior School Teacher and Phase Co-ordinator Middle Leadership position (fixed-term for 3-years) to join our team commencing in January 2027. The Phase Co-ordinator will inspire excellence, connection and growth across Years 3 and 4. This middle leadership position calls for an accomplished educator who can lead with warmth and clarity, supporting staff and students through a robust commitment to wellbeing, pastoral care and high-quality learning.
You will work closely with fellow Phase Co-ordinators and the Assistant Heads of Junior School to support consistent pastoral,
wellbeing and curriculum practices across the Junior School. This role requires a visible and relational leader who can build strong partnerships with staff, students and families, while contributing to a culture of collegiality, clarity and continuous improvement.

- Knowing students deeply and using assessment, feedback and differentiation to support individual growth.

- Contributing actively to a collaborative professional culture focused on reflection, improvement and shared practice.
- Experience in PYP and inquiry-based learning is highly desirable.

It is a mandatory requirement to hold the appropriate tertiary qualifications and current Queensland Teacher Registration (QCT).

Employment Classification
The salary and conditions of employment for Academic staff are in accordance with the Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association (PMSA) Enterprise Agreement 2025, as varied or replaced from time-to-time.
