Intermediate GIS Professional

Narre Warren, VIC | Hybrid – Onsite & Remote Following Training

GISjobs Australia is assisting our client in identifying an experienced Intermediate GIS Professional to join their team in Narre Warren.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across GIS, spatial data, FME automation and asset management and wants to apply their technical skills within a large and diverse environment.

Following an initial training and onboarding period, the position will offer a combination of onsite and remote working.

The Opportunity

You’ll contribute to the management, analysis and maintenance of spatial and asset information used to support planning, operations and decision-making across the organisation.

The role will suit a practical GIS skilled who is comfortable working with spatial data, databases and automated workflows, and who can work collaboratively with both GIS and broader business teams.

Key Skills & Experience

We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience across:

- QGIS
- FME – including development and maintenance of spatial data workflows
- SQL and working with relational/spatial data
- Asset Management systems, ideally TechnologyOne EAM
- Vicmap datasets and an understanding of the Vicmap Editing Service
- IntraMaps
- Spatial data management,



validation and quality assurance
- Working with business users to understand and resolve spatial and asset information requirements

You don't necessarily need to be an expert in every technology listed above. A strong GIS foundation, good problem-solving ability and experience across several of these areas would make you well worth considering.

About You

You’re likely to be an intermediate-level GIS professional who has moved beyond purely producing maps and is comfortable working with the underlying data, systems and processes that support an enterprise GIS environment.

Experience within local government, utilities, infrastructure or asset-intensive organisations would be particularly valuable.

Location & Working Arrangements

? Narre Warren, Victoria The position will initially require an onsite presence to support training and familiarisation with GIS systems and processes.

Remote/hybrid working will be available following training, subject to operational requirements.
