IT Helpdesk & Support Technician – Part-Time

HealthyPC is an established Perth-based technology company providing managed IT, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, cloud, networking, internet, telephony and technical support services to businesses throughout Western Australia.
We are looking for a part-time Junior IT Helpdesk & Support Technician who is currently studying IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Networking or a related field and wants to gain meaningful, hands-on industry experience while completing their studies.
This isn't a role where you will just answer phones and reset passwords.
You will work alongside experienced technicians, learn how real business IT environments operate and gradually take responsibility for supporting our clients.
What You Will Do
Depending on your experience and development, you will assist with:
- Responding to helpdesk requests
- Troubleshooting Windows PCs and laptops
- Microsoft 365 user support
- Password and account administration
- Software installation and configuration
- PC preparation and deployment
- Hardware diagnostics and repairs
- Remote support
- Basic networking troubleshooting
- Printer and peripheral support
- User onboarding and offboarding
- Maintaining client documentation
- Monitoring systems and responding to alerts
- Assisting senior technicians with projects
- Occasional onsite client support
As your knowledge develops, we will progressively expose you to areas including:
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Entra ID
- Windows Server
- Networking
- Firewalls and VPNs
- Virtualisation
- Cybersecurity
- Backup and disaster recovery
- Cloud infrastructure
- Managed services

Ideally You Will Have
- Current university or TAFE studies in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Networking or a related field
- Good general knowledge of Windows PCs
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365
- Basic understanding of computer networks
- An interest in troubleshooting and problem solving
- A current driver's licence would be advantageous
Previous helpdesk, retail technology, PC building or technical support experience is useful but not essential for the right person .
