About the Role
As a Graduate or Undergraduate Planner, you will play an active role in supporting the delivery of major urban renewals, residential subdivisions, and regional development projects. You won't just be doing data entry; you will be quick-tracked through structured, hands-on mentoring. Working side-by-side with our clients Senior Planners and the Planning Lead, you will gain comprehensive exposure to the full lifecycle of NSW planning and development consulting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of Development Applications (DAs) and Statement of Environmental Effects (SEE).
- Research local environmental plans (LEPs), development control plans (DCPs), and NSW planning state policies.
- Utilise modern spatial tools like Nearmap and mapping software to conduct site analysis.
- Liaise with internal civil engineering and surveying teams to coordinate project inputs.
- Support communications and follow-ups with local councils and utility authorities.
- Maintain high attention to detail across statutory reporting, project tracking, and documentation compliance.
What You'll Bring
- Qualifications: Currently studying towards, or recently completed, a Tertiary degree in Urban/Town Planning, Geography, or a closely related field.
- NSW Legislation:
A strong desire to learn and interpret NSW planning frameworks and environmental legislation.
- Tech-Savvy: Fast learner with digital tools, with exposure to or interest in using Nearmap and GIS mapping platforms.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a natural eye for detailed reporting.
