We have a contract opportunity for a capable software engineer. Working remotely under guidance from our senior software engineer, completing packages of work, QA and Ops support as required. Due to the nature of our business no agencies and the successful candidate will need full background checks to be completed prior to access to any of our code.

Required capabilities

- Java 17 and Spring Boot
- REST APIs, authentication and integration patterns
- MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Docker and CI/CD
- Offline transaction queues and synchronisation
- Retail POS, inventory, orders, payments or acquiring experience
- Integration with Android or hybrid applications (Cloud and on-premise)
- Git-based development and code reviews
- Automated testing
- Valuable written English
- Use of AI with approval and use of CICD guardrails.
