Role Description This part-time Junior Cloud Engineer role is a hybrid position based in Melbourne, VIC, with a mix of in office work and approved work-from-home arrangements. The role involves assisting in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure to support high-traffic streaming platforms. Daily tasks include monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, helping implement infrastructure changes, and supporting automation and optimization efforts under the guidance of senior engineers.

The Junior Cloud

Engineer will collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure uptime, reliability, and efficient resource usage. Documentation of configurations, participation in code and design reviews, and adherence to internal policies and industry best practices are also part of the day-to-day responsibilities.

Qualifications

- Foundational Software Development skills (e.g., scripting or programming in languages such as Python, Bash, or similar) and familiarity with version control tools.
- Basic Infrastructure knowledge, including networking concepts, system monitoring,



and exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools or automation frameworks.
- Understanding of Cloud Computing platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP), including core services for compute, storage, and networking.
- Hands-on experience with Linux administration, including shell usage, process management, and basic system configuration.
- Fundamental Databases knowledge, including relational or NoSQL databases, query basics, and performance considerations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow documented procedures and security guidelines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a hybrid team environment across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant coursework, certifications, or practical experience in cloud or systems engineering; a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is beneficial but not strictly required.
- Comfort working within an adult-content business context while maintaining professionalism, discretion, and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
