Diesel Perth
Perth
About the role
Diesel Productions is growing its team of casual private events DJs across Perth (birthdays, school formals, corporate functions, and weddings). We're looking for motivated, coachable people who want to build real skills and a genuine pathway in the events industry, not just pick up casual shifts.
No DJ experience required. We provide full training, equipment, and mentorship, you bring the right attitude and we'll help you build the rest.
What you'll gain
- Structured training in the Diesel Productions system, covering music programming, crowd reading, mic and MC skills, and client management, built on over a decade of industry experience
- Paid training from day one, with a clear, milestone-based path to progress into paid gigs
- Hands-on learning through real events, supported by senior DJs and MCs, not just theory
- All equipment, music library, and gear provided
- A genuine long-term career pathway within a growing company, not a one-off role
About Diesel Productions
Diesel Productions is a full-service event agency delivering DJs, MCs, and musicians alongside skilled sound and lighting production. We're backed by Diesel Media (photography, videography and content) and Diesel Entertainment Academy (DJ training), giving our team access to resources and support most events companies simply don't offer.

What the role involves
- Performing exclusively for Diesel Productions events as part of our team (see note below)
- Completing structured, milestone-based training under our senior team
- Preparing playlists based on client briefs
- Setting up and packing down provided PA and lighting equipment professionally
- Representing the brand with strong presentation and client relationships
- Occasionally featuring in content filmed by Diesel Media for marketing purposes
A note on exclusivity This is a genuine investment in your development, consistent training, mentorship, and bookings as part of our team, not freelance work picked up on the side. In return, DJs perform exclusively for Diesel Productions while part of the team. We see it as a fair exchange: real support and consistent work, without the uncertainty of chasing your own bookings.
What we're looking for
- A genuine passion for music across a range of genres
- Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional approach
- Openness to feedback and coaching
- Comfortable performing and speaking in front of a crowd (or willing to build this confidence)
- Availability Friday and Saturday nights
Requirements
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport (minimum 4-door hatchback)
- Comfortable lifting and setting up equipment
- Willing to follow structured processes and checklists
This role isn't a fit if you're looking for nightclub or festival DJ work, want to build an independent DJ brand, or are seeking a casual, low-commitment role rather than a genuine pathway.
How to apply
- Submit your application with your CV, and a brief note on why this role suits you.
