About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Kitchen Hand to join our team on a casual basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, supporting meal preparation, and ensuring that residents receive high-quality dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

In this diverse role, your responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and dining areas.

- Washing, organizing, and storing crockery, cutlery, and trays.

- Assisting with food preparation, including breakfast menu setup.

- Labelling and rotating stock to ensure compliance with Food Safety standards.

- Collaborating with the kitchen supervisor, cook, and staff to ensure smooth operations.

- Adhering to infection control and Work Health and Safety (WHS) protocols.

- Contributing to person-centered care and creating a positive dining experience for residents.

What We're Looking For:

We’re looking for someone who has:

- Experience in a food preparation area, ideally in a facility, hospital, or commercial kitchen.

- A Food Handling Certificate.

- A cooperative personality with flexibility and a team-focused approach.





- Strong communication skills in English for effective interactions with staff, residents, and visitors.

- Patience, empathy, and understanding of the unique needs of aged individuals.

- Familiarity with policy manuals, WHS, and infection control standards.

- Current police check (or willingness to obtain one).

- Experience in a coffee shop or as a barista (desirable).
