Your duties as an Lab Tech include but are not limited to the following:

- Prepare, process, analyze, document and store samples, reagents and consumables in accordance with internal policies and procedures;
- Operate bio-safety cabinets, incubators, centrifuges, sequencers, liquid handlers, vortexers, quality control equipment and other supporting laboratory equipment;
- Record, analyze, document and report data throughout the entire experimental process, ensuring accuracy, traceability and completeness;
- Monitor and report experimental and scientific progress to ensure that appropriate Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) procedures are followed;
- Configure, operate, calibrate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment as required;
- Assist in the development, review and implementation of SOPs covering laboratory procedures and equipment operation;
- Optimize existing and newly developed protocols and facilitate their implementation within the laboratory;
- Comply with company SOPs and strictly adhere to biosecurity policies and procedures to ensure QA and QC requirements are consistently met;
- Monitor laboratory inventory, place orders and verify the receipt and condition of supplies and consumables;
- Identify, isolate and troubleshoot issues relating to equipment, experimental procedures and workflows, and escalate problems when required;
- Plan and coordinate experimental activities to ensure that project milestones are achieved and required experiments are completed within designated timelines;
- Perform other laboratory, operational or administrative duties as reasonably assigned by the management team.

The successful candidates for this position can demonstrate:





- Bachelor's degree or above in Biotechnology or an equivalent science qualification.
- At least 2 years’ experience in an academic or industrial laboratory environment;
- Knowledge and experience in genetics and genomics with special emphasis on next-generation sequencing, high-throughput genotyping;
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills combined with the ability to investigate and resolve general issues within the laboratory environment
- Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to policies and practices and understand quality management system requirements
- Excellent data entry skills including high attention to detail and data accuracy
- Experience in managing and performing laboratory-based activities from multiple research projects;
- Experience in scientific writing and preparation of scientific reports;
- A positive can-do attitude and commitment to producing high level performance outcomes
- Skills in liaising with different department in HQ to implement various workflow and facilitate technological transfer.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is not required but will be considered a strong advantage.
