Assistant Director of Academic Operations - Stage 5 Lead
Knox Grammar School is an independent, multi-campus Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school for boys, located at Wahroonga on Sydney’s North Shore. In addition to the single-sex campuses, Knox also operates Wahroonga Preparatory School, a co-educational campus for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.

At Knox Grammar School we are seeking an exceptional educator with strong analytical, organisational and operational skills to join our Senior School leadership team as Assistant Director of Academic Operations 7–12 (Stage 4 Lead). This is a permanent full-time opportunity commencing Term 1, 2027.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Coordinate Stage 4 assessment schedules and examination timetables.
- Assist in the development of assessment grids, markbooks and academic reporting processes across Years 7–12.
- Analyse and manage student academic data to support informed decision making and improved student outcomes.
- Support NESA processes, assessment administration and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with curriculum leaders to establish reporting grade cut-offs and assessment procedures.
- Assist with subject selection processes and management of the Subject Selection Portal.
- Contribute to timetable administration, student class allocations and duty roster development.
- Work alongside the Teaching and Learning Team to provide meaningful academic data analysis.
- Support the continuous improvement of systems, processes and learning analytics across the Senior School.
What You’ll Bring
- A strong record of effective teaching in a secondary school setting.
- Experience in assessment planning, reporting, curriculum administration or academic operations.
- Strong data literacy and confidence working with student achievement data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and educational technology platforms.
- Experience with timetabling software, particularly Timetable Solutions, will be highly regarded.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A collaborative and service-focused approach with a commitment to supporting staff and students.
