The Role A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Charities and Purpose Driven Institutions team based in Melbourne. As a Legal Assistant you will work closely with a Partner and team.
Responsibilities include
- Billing - prepare, amending and finalising draft bills;
- File Administration - saving documents in accordance with file saving and naming protocols;
- Diary management and work prioritisation;
- Travel management - booking flights and accommodation;
- Data entry;
- Conducting searches;
- Liaising with clients;
- General administrative support to the team;
Who We Are Looking For The Legal Assistant is responsible for the provision of diligent and efficient secretarial and administrative support, to alleviate the time-pressures on legal practitioners as far as possible. As a Legal Assistant, you will have:
- good attention to detail, particularly in documents;
- possess a personal commitment to excellence, including attention to detail;
- be dependable and diligent;
- be proactive in liaising with other people (internal and external) where necessary to solve problems and complete tasks;
- manage their to-do list effectively and work with minimal supervision.
In addition, the legal assistant will provide support to other team members with the aim of enhancing the performance, profit results and sustainability of their practice area.
