Job Description

Your opportunity to join us

Based at Wingfield and reporting to the Site Manager, the role of Machine Operator is an integral part of our daily site operations. As the new Machine Operator, you willbe someone who isself-motivated and requires minimal supervision, with the capability and capacity to undertake rendering activities.

Apart of this role will berequiredto work closely with the Operational team and broader functions of the business.Previousexperience is preferred but not essential as we will provideon-the-job training.

This role will require you to be flexible as we are offering 3 rotating shifts, 7 am-3 pm, 3 pm -11 pm, and 11 pm -7am.

Daily Tasks

- Ensure the recording of accurate information in the day-to-day performance of the rendering facility




- Responsible for reporting accurate stock inventories of ingredients and related consumable items
- Make sound judgments regarding product quality, consult with technical resources as needed
- Participate in problem-solving teams as required
- Understand, and follow work instructions
- Conduct a pre-start audit to ensure all necessary and required steps have been followed and equipment is ready for start-up according to set-up parameters
- Ensure accurate information is communicated in shift handovers and other communication logs
- Assist with continuous improvement projects, as assigned or available

To be successful in this role, you will need to have

- Current Australian Driver's License
- Forklift License(highly desirable)
- Boiler license and/or mechanical experience (highly desirable)
- Previous work experience which demonstrates mechanical/technical aptitude
- Role model uncompromising commitment to health, safety, and quality in the workplace
- Ability to work well under pressure
- High attention to detail
