A Bit About The Role

This is your chance to make an impact by helping deliver projects that shape where people live, work, and connect.

You will work within a project team to coordinate activities, manage documentation, track progress, and support decision‑making. The role requires a practical understanding of project delivery processes, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work within established governance, safety, and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to:

- Support senior project managers with planning, coordination, and regular reporting across multiple projects
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including business cases, project briefs, schedules, risk registers, and progress reports
- Maintain accurate project records using document management systems (such as Aconex) and in line with Council policies and governance requirements
- Assist with procurement activities, including preparing tender documentation, managing tender processes, and participating in evaluation panels
- Monitor project budgets, cashflows, program timelines, risk registers, and provide monthly updates to senior staff
- Support stakeholder engagement by coordinating communication with consultants, contractors, internal teams, and community participants

What You’ll Bring

To perform effectively in this role, you will need:





- A tertiary qualification or demonstrated experience in project management, building and construction, architecture, engineering, or a related field
- Working knowledge of project management processes, including scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and reporting
- Experience managing contracts, project records, and technical documentation
- Knowledge of construction processes and relevant regulatory frameworks, including the Building Code of Australia
- The ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining accurate records and attention to detail

The Following Skills And Experience Are Desirable

- Formal project management certification (such as PMP or PRINCE2)
- Experience using Microsoft 365 tools, including MS Project
- Experience supporting capital works projects within a government or public sector environment
