About the role

TNM Road Services is seeking experienced and reliable Machine Operators & Truck Drivers to join our dynamic team in Devon Meadows, VIC. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work with modern plant and machinery in the construction and road services sector. You will play a crucial role in the delivery of our projects, operating heavy machinery and transporting equipment and materials to ensure the smooth execution of our operations.

Key responsibilities

- Operate heavy plant and machinery including excavators, graders and other construction equipment in accordance with safety procedures and site requirements

- Drive trucks and transport vehicles safely and efficiently, transporting machinery, materials and equipment to and from project sites

- Conduct pre-operation inspections and maintenance checks on all equipment and vehicles to ensure they are in safe working condition

- Follow all site safety protocols, environmental regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment

- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to coordinate activities and ensure project timelines are met

- Maintain accurate records of equipment operation and any incidents or damage

- Respond promptly to instructions and adapt to changing site conditions and project requirements

- Assist with equipment troubleshooting and report mechanical issues to supervisors and maintenance personnel

What we're looking for

- Current, valid Heavy Rigid (HR)



or Heavy Combination (HC) licence, with a clean driving record

- Proven experience operating heavy plant and machinery in construction or road services environments

- Certified or licensed plant operator qualifications (such as Skid steer, Excavator or Grader tickets) are highly desirable

- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and a commitment to safe work practices

- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate operational records and reports

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks as required on site

- Flexibility to work varying hours, including early starts and occasional extended shifts as project demands require
