Maintenance Fitter

Reporting: Maintenance Manager

Location: Mile End

An opportunity currently exists for a Maintenance Fitter, based at our Mile End site, on a full-time permanent basis.

Key accountabilities include:

- Perform preventative maintenance activities in accordance with designated schedules.

- Attention to detail.

- Identify opportunities to improve plant and equipment reliability.

- Attend and resolve maintenance requests in a timely manner.

- Escalate the matter in a timely manner where required.

- Complete appropriate documentation.

- Suggest recommendation to prevent a reoccurrence of the issue.

- Maintain hygiene / GMP to acceptable level for area of responsibility.





- Follow site/company guidelines on Quality System and HACCP procedures and policies.

- React as appropriate to WHS, quality and HACCP issues relating to product and/or personnel.

- Ensure compliance with site OHS policies and procedures.

- Ensure compliance with all training requirements.

The successful applicant will possess:

- Trade qualified in mechanical fitting or other relevant fields

- At least five years' experience working in FMCG or Mills industries.

- Welding experience (MIG.TIG & ARC)

- Previous PM and breakdown maintenance experience.

- Experience with pneumatics, automation and hydraulic.

- A proven team player and flexibility to carry out site work when required.
