The Regal Inn Tenambit is entering an exciting current chapter, and we're looking for an energetic and ambitious Restaurant & Functions Manager to help transform and grow our food, beverage and events offering.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role where you can genuinely influence the direction of a venue. Working closely with the General Manager, you'll play a key role in relaunching the restaurant and functions business, developing a high-performing team, enhancing the guest experience, and building the Regal Inn's reputation as a destination for dining, celebrations and events.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Restaurant & Functions Manager, you will lead all front-of-house operations while driving the growth and success of the venue's functions and events business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Front of House Operations
• Manage the day-to-day front-of-house operation of the restaurant.
• Complete opening and closing procedures for the restaurant.
• Monitor reservations,
bookings and table allocations.
• Prepare rosters in line with business requirements and approved roster templates.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customer feedback, complaints and conflict resolution.
Functions & Events Management
• Manage all function and event bookings from enquiry through to delivery.
• Handle function sales enquiries and convert opportunities into bookings.
• Effectively allocate function spaces.
• Communicate event requirements to kitchen and bar teams.
• Act as host for large-scale functions or allocate appropriate staff.
Leadership & Team Development
• Recruit, train, mentor and develop front-of-house employees.
• Manage staff performance and behaviour in line with staff expectations.
• Review and update staff expectations documents with the General Manager.
• Lead a positive, professional and accountable team culture.
