Allied Grain Systems is a progressive industry leader in the design and construction of grain storage and handling facilities across Australia. Our team delivers innovative, large-scale solutions to the commercial grain handling sector, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer service. We’re currently seeking a motivated and experienced Steel Erection Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This is a full time role based at our current project at Appleton Dock in Melbourne ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys leading construction teams, coordinating complex site structural steel installations, and delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee complexed structural steel erection at an existing construction projects based at Appleton Dock in Melbourne from planning through to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. Project duration to approximately February 2027
- Manage site operations, construction schedules, resources, and subcontractor performance
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to maintain project objectives
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement project-specific safety management plans and quality assurance procedures
- Review construction methodologies and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost effectiveness




- Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors, and key stakeholders
- Participate in project handover, commissioning, and post-construction review activities

About You

- Proven experience in a Construction Manager, Site Manager, Project Manager, or similar leadership role within the construction or engineering sector
- Robust understanding of construction methodologies, steel structures, and mechanical installation systems.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and leadership skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage teams and build strong client relationships
- Self-starter who takes initiative and ownership of project outcomes
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Qualifications & Requirements

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Building, or a related discipline. Experienced trade-qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated experience managing structural steel installation projects and site-based teams
- Knowledge of contract administration, project scheduling, and reporting systems
- White Card (Construction Induction) required
