About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Monash Early Learning Centre in Gladesville, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in providing quality care and early education experiences for children in our centre. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for creating engaging learning environments, supporting children's development and maintaining solid relationships with families. This role is essential to our mission of nurturing confident, curious learners and contributing to the positive outcomes for the children in our care.

Key responsibilities

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate educational activities and experiences that promote children's learning and development across all developmental domains

Provide safe, nurturing and supportive care to children, ensuring their physical, emotional and social wellbeing throughout each day

Build positive relationships with children and create an environment where they feel secure, valued and encouraged to explore and learn

Observe and assess children's progress and development,



and communicate observations with families and team members

Maintain a clean, organised and safe learning environment that meets all relevant health and safety standards and regulations

Support children's independence, social skills and confidence through encouragement, guidance and positive role modelling

Collaborate with colleagues to implement the centre's educational philosophy and curriculum approaches

Communicate regularly with families about their child's learning, development and experiences at the centre

Participate in professional development and training to maintain current knowledge of early childhood education best practices

Follow all centre policies, procedures and statutory requirements, including those relating to health, safety and child protection

What we're looking for

A current Early Childhood Teacher qualification (Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent) or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education

Current Working with Children Check clearance or willingness to obtain one

Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within three months of employment)

Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and how to apply it in early childhood settings





Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development

The ability to plan and implement creative, engaging learning experiences that cater to children's individual needs and interests

Sound knowledge of child development and the ability to observe and assess children's learning progress

A commitment to maintaining a safe, hygienic and inclusive learning environment

Excellent organisational and time management skills

The ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst also demonstrating initiative and responsibility

A commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice

Desirable: experience in other childcare or education settings; additional qualifications or specialisations in early childhood education
