BCEI Australia is seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our ANZ engineering team. In this role you'll design, analyse and oversee the implementation of mechanical systems on our data centre construction projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams across civil, mechanical and electrical disciplines.

What you'll do

You'll be responsible for the mechanical scope across the project lifecycle — from site surveys and equipment budgeting at pre-engineering, through tender and construction design, value engineering and customer approvals, to commissioning and as-built review on site. You'll design HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems, prepare technical drawings and specifications, and support the review and design management of consultant packages against the design programme.





What you'll bring

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 10+ years in mechanical engineering, including 5+ years in mechanical data centre design, with a focus on HVAC and plumbing
- Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, Revit) and HVAC load calculation software (e.g. Carrier HAP); PipeFlo knowledge an advantage
- Knowledge of BMS and fuel oil control systems
- Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA and local building codes
- Robust problem-solving, project management and communication skills, and a willingness to conduct site visits as needed
