Vusion is a leading retail technology provider specializing in AI-powered connected commerce solutions. Through digital shelf labels, IoT infrastructure, and real-time data platforms, Vusion helps retailers optimize store operations, improve shopper experiences, and create smarter, more sustainable retail environments worldwide The Mechanical Solution Engineer will support our retail technology deployments, with a robust focus on a Tier 1 customer and on-ground activities at customer sites. This role requires a mix of technical coordination, field work, solution support, and direct customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Technical & Internal Coordination

Work closely with engineering, product, and project teams to support delivery of our solutions.

Coordinate with global teams to understand hardware specs, API behaviours, network requirements, and fixture standards.

- Custom / System Support

Provide L1/L2 support for customers and internal teams.

Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions on the spot where possible.

Raise required escalations to engineering or product teams.

- Field Work

Conduct store visits, on-site surveys, and fixture assessments.

Scope fixture, fittings, and accessories required for each site.

Support on-ground installation activities, including rails, ESLs, sensors, and network components.

Validate placement, mounting, coverage, and hardware behaviour in-store environments.





Diagnose installation issues and resolve them in real time.

- Customer Engagement

Engage with customer teams to gather business and technical requirements.

Support PMs on scope and timelines (not responsible for cost or budget).

Work with customer stakeholders to understand operational needs and pain points.

Provide clear, structured communication throughout the deployment.

Technical Skills

Working knowledge of REST APIs and integration flows.

Ability to read and work with CSV and JSON data specifications.

Understanding of basic networking (AP setup, SSIDs, VLANs, firewall rules, endpoint whitelisting).

Ability to set up and configure basic rules using JavaScript inside design/config tools.

Hands-on experience supporting installations, fixture testing, and hardware validation.

Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to act quickly on site.

Additional Experience (Preferred)

2–4 years experience in technical support, solution engineering, field engineering, or similar roles.

Exposure to retail technology, IoT devices, ESLs, digital signage, or in-store infrastructure.

Experience working in customer-facing technical roles with Tier 1 or enterprise customers.
