- Remuneration: $122,852 to $134,385 pa (HEW7) (inclusive of $103,811 to $113,557 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Technologist, Facilities, and Infrastructure to join Faculty Operations, Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice. The Technologist for Facilities and Infrastructure is a specialised technical role responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and operation of production signal distribution infrastructure, performative and production-based simulated environments, and associated technologies within creative, communications, and design arts teaching and research settings. This role ensures the effective operation of undergraduate teaching, research, facilities management, and compliance activities. As a highly agile and responsive role, the Technologist collaborates with the Technical Services leadership team to regularly assess and review the provision of facilities, equipment, and resource allocation to meet the evolving needs of the University's dynamic teaching environments. Working closely with other technical staff, the Technologist applies specialist expertise to provide an integrated and responsive support service, ensuring students benefit from a high-quality learning experience. The Technologist also supports the delivery and implementation of strategic initiatives and continuous improvement activities, collaborating with Faculty staff, particularly researchers and teaching staff, University Facilities Management and ITC staff, external contractors, and staff from other universities and professional bodies.

What You Need To Succeed

- Education, training, and/or relevant experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree or a higher degree with subsequent relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in creative production, or studio and performance venue management.
- Demonstrated high-level communication skills (both written and verbal) and flexibility to work across projects, collaborating and developing effective relationships with multiple programs and stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across a large organisation, clearly communicate technical issues to a wide range of people, and contribute to new ideas.
- Demonstrated knowledge and significant experience with production infrastructure and technical systems, or design technologies within the creative practice/design environment, particularly in diagnosing and resolving technically complex problems across various production technical systems.
- Proven experience in delivering within a project framework, supporting the delivery of projects within agreed timeframes, including assistance with scoping, planning, budgeting, delivery, and post-implementation review.
