Permanent full-time (35 hours per week)
$111,798 – $132,585 salary package - includes base salary ($98,499 – $116,813), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role
We are seeking exceptional educators to inspire and shape the next generation of Work Health and Safety (WHS) professionals. This is an opportunity to bring your industry expertise to life, guiding students as they build practical skills, achieve nationally recognised qualifications, and progress toward meaningful careers in WHS.
As a Teacher of WHS, you will apply current, industry-aligned knowledge to design and deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences that reflect contemporary safety practices and legislative requirements. You will deliver training across a range of environments—including face-to-face classroom settings, workplace and field-based contexts, and online—ensuring students gain hands‑on, real‑world capability.
In this dynamic and evolving field, you will play a critical role in developing safety‑focused thinking and professional standards in your learners. We are looking for educators who combine robust technical expertise with a passion for teaching excellence. About You
To be successful in the role you will:
- Hold appropriate subject knowledge and skills, and at minimum hold a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent tertiary qualification in related disciplines
- Have a minimum of three years post‑qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously
- Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document here for details
- Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.
