Experienced Medical Receptionist – Part-Time

We are seeking a friendly, professional and highly organised Medical Receptionist to join our busy and supportive general practice team on a part-time basis.

The successful candidate will be confident working in a fast-paced GP clinic and committed to providing excellent service to patients, doctors and colleagues.

Essential requirements

- Previous reception experience in a GP medical practice
- Strong working knowledge of Best Practice software
- Experience with Medicare billing, private billing and payment processing
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Solid attention to detail and the ability to multitask
- Professional, reliable and compassionate manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy requirements

Key responsibilities:
- Managing appointments, telephone calls and patient enquiries
- Greeting patients and maintaining an efficient reception area




- Processing Medicare and private billings accurately
- Taking payments and reconciling daily transactions
- Scanning, filing and managing correspondence
- Supporting doctors and clinical staff with administrative duties
- Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
